First Day in Siem Reap

This is David.

If you ever go to Siem Reap, you should meet this guy. Best tour guide ever.

Also, this food we are eating, while you might not be able to discern what it is, is incredible. The one to the right is called "amok" - probably the most famous Khmer dish. Served with either chicken or fish, its kind of like coconut curry with tumeric, collard greens (or something!) and all sorts of other secret delicious stuff. Omg.

Okanamaksnaki (how do you spell this)

Easily the weirdest food I've ever eaten. Get this (in this order): thin pancake, bean sprouts, bacon, egg, noodles, cheese, weird sauce, dill (was that dill???). It tasted like Christmas, however. A Hiroshima specialty.

Green Curry

So Helen and I have gotten to be quite the cooks and our Green Curry is top notch. We added onions, red and yellow peppers, green peas and cashews. YUM.

Inspired by this INCREDIBLE food photographer, I have decided to start photographing some of our lovelier dishes...
