Pyeongchang (평창)

Helen and I went skiing/snowboarding in Pyeongchang for Lunar New Year.  About three hours northeast of Seoul, the air was clean and the snow fresh as it snowed about 5 inches the night before we arrived. While the town is pretty no-frills, the skiing was great. And contrary to what EVERY Korean told us, it wasn't crowded at all. It's South Korea's bid for the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics. Did I mention Koreans have the wildest snow gear ever? I saw more DayGlo and skiing animals than ever, may as well be a rave on ice.
